Distinct, attitude packed croaky vocals thrived amongst technical drumming, a rocking western sounding electric guitar and topped off with smooth double bass blues lines. Our dynamic duo of Luke and Tara, kicked off the show with an interview with Sam Wright organiser of this Saturdays event, Moving Music. The “mystery urban safari” guiding explorers to different locales, displaying the best of Adelaides arts community. This year, the event will showcase 9 diverse musical acts and 8 unique visual artists in areas of the City of Churches you probably haven’t spent much time in. Looking for an interactive day of wonder? Then grab your stethoscope (actual or imaginary, your choice) and discover the heart beat of Adelaide’s independent art scene.
For all the details check out their Facebook.
One act set to appear this weekend at Moving Music, is the three piece Wild Oats, who brought their delicious sounds to Local Noise to play a Live to Air set. The guys (used in a non-gender specific way) discussed their favourite albums of all time and the effect those albums have had on their own music writing. Wild Oats also put the many rumours to rest and informed the Local Noise audience that they, not a maxi yacht, were the recent victors of the Sydney to Hobart. Hear their live set:

If Rock and Funk were invited to a sexy party, and Rock brought Punk along as a plus one and Funk brought Soul, their combined love child would be ‘Pink Noise Generator’. This upbeat four piece consists of Matt (vocals and guitar), Brendan (bass), Dave (drums) and Thom (keys). Pink Noise Generator raised the energy sky high in Radio Adelaide’s studios with their catchy guitar riffs, funky keyboard melodies and the boisterous banter between super funny lead vocalist Matt and the rest of the band. Radio Adelaide scored a quality live rock set from ‘Surviving Sharks’ tonight on Local Noise. The three guys that make up Surviving Sharks consist of Drew (guitar), Josh (bass) and Sean (drums) with vocals shared all around. Their powerful chords, riffs and solos showed us how awesome straight rock is without the overload of cross-genres.
After making our studios super loud, Luke and Tara interviewed the lads about what they’ve been up to. They’ve just released their debut demo ‘Bleed and See’, hit up Clarity Records to snatch a copy. If that’s not enough they’re launching the EP live at the Ed Castle this Friday night, so get around them and check them out. Here’s the interview:

The Dark Synth Pop Rock 5 piece ‘Little Two Eyes’ graced our studios last night with an awesome live to air set. The lead female vocal stylings from Emily was backed with dark but breezey harmonics which made for a beautiful and unique sound. We were even lucky enough to score an exclusive live hearing of their brand new single ‘Rain Music’, which they’ll be launching on Friday the 30th of Novemeber at Jive.
Luke and Tara chucked Little Two Eyes into an interivew straight after their set. They talked about pretty much everything, from their band name being influenced by goat tales to their extensive song production efforts. Check out the interview here:
